Will you vote in the real democracy?

The democratic system is clearly broken. But a different kind of “democracy” is running the show.

In a sense, “the will of the people” does rule. At least the will of a minority of dedicated people.

They are the people who count, and that is the only democracy that counts. That’s the real democracy.

The people who rule our society today… they are powerful only because others support their cause with time, work and money. That’s it.

Maybe a different story would be more entertaining. (Perhaps a story about secret cabals ruling the world from smoke-filled rooms?) But that’s the true story. It’s not more complicated than that.

People vote with their actions and their money.

If you vote for Netflix, then Netflix will prosper. If you vote for dissident media, then dissident media will prosper. If you vote for the good cause, then the good cause will prosper.

The ADL and SPLC and all other institutions are successful because they have generous people supporting their efforts. The same is true of all NGOs, cultural institutions, and lobby groups.

They don’t have a secret advantage.

Please remember this: They are just like you and me. They are not cut from a different cloth.

And don’t think for one second that those people are selfish. They are powerful precisely because they are so generous to the causes they care about. Their dedication is impressive. We should be encouraged by that.

When our cause starts getting that kind of support, the balance will shift immediately in our favour.

(We obviously have a long road ahead of us, but we are making progress all the time.)

And something is changing already. Like Mark Weber said in our recent broadcast, the clouds are gathering. The tension is so thick you can cut it with a knife.

All our work has been building up to this moment, and now we’re starting to see results. Our talking points are reaching a wider audience than ever before.

I’ve already seen others discuss some ideas that we presented at the Spring Conference, just a couple of months ago. We’re having an impact.

You can see little breakthroughs almost on a daily basis now. So here is your chance to do even more…

Our ideas are making a difference.

The 2023 Fundraiser

This year we are trying to raise €40,000.

We need it to cover work and expenses for the conferences, video productions, the Weekly Roundup, debates, interviews, cultural programs (we have a surprise coming up in that department), the Decameron Film Festival, the Twin Peaks festival, travel expenses, new equipment… and everything else involved with the work we do.

I’m proud to reveal that I am also working on our first book project. (It’s a book that you’ll be excited about.)

That’s right – we’re going to publish books.

As you know, only about 10% of an iceberg is above the water surface. Something like that is also true of the work we do. Almost 90% of it is behind the scenes.

And we can only do all of it with your help.

Donations of all sizes make a difference. Last year, the smallest donation was €1 and the largest individual donation was €5000 (we got two of those). That’s how we were able to organize the Spring Conference with your help. I think we’re all grateful for that.

Let’s beat those numbers this year.

I want to encourage you to give, so I have set up these targets to give you an incentive to be generous:

When we reach 5000, you will get the video of the panel discussion from the Spring Conference.

We just finished editing the video and it’s maybe even better than the individual speeches themselves. It’s a discussion between F. Roger Devlin, Mark Weber, Timo Hännikäinen, Ruuben Kaalep, myself, Prof. Helmuth Nyborg, Guido Taietti, and Prof. Edward Dutton.

When we reach 10,000, you will get Part 1 of a two-part travel documentary/interview with Sam Dickson.

Sam has been devoted to the good cause for 60 years (!), and has more interesting stories than anyone I know. A conversation with him is like a university education. (Rather, the stuff you should have learned at university.)

So when we both happened to be traveling in Europe at the same time this summer, I took the opportunity to record our conversations as we were sightseeing together for two days. This is absolutely unique material and you’ll love it.

When we reach 15,000, you’ll get the second part of the travel documentary/interview with Sam Dickson.

When we reach €20,000, you will get the next big conference. (I know this is what you’re looking forward to.)

Here’s a crazy thought: I know that we have generous donors who will step up sooner or later. What if we managed to raise it all in a matter of days or a couple of weeks, so we could move on to the next conference before the end of this year?

It’s a challenge. So if you want to give, please give right away.

(I have to confess it’s also a selfish suggestion. I have some new ideas for the next conference… so I’m eager to get there.)

This is your chance to make a real difference.

Here’s how you send a gift:

  1. Send donation through Odysee [1] (hit “$ Support”).
  2. Send crypto. Find addresses on my Donate [2] page. If you don’t see the particular currency you want to send, email me. I’ll set it up.
  3. Send bank transfer. Email me for details: kaliyugalogbook [at] proton.me
  4. Send cash to P.O. Box in U.S. Email me for details: kaliyugalogbook [at] proton.me

Thank you for making all this happen!

P.S.

Remember that when you give early, you also inspire others to give. You build momentum, so your gift counts for more.
