An interesting perspective.
Nordic whaling is often mentioned alongside Spanish bullfighting which is wrong; that Iberian tradition is indeed barbaric. An animal is terrorized and brutalized for the purposes of entertainment and ancestral worship.
Even killing within the animal kingdom happens for honorable reasons and not for mere fun.
An animal kills another animal for defensive or consumptive reasons.
I think our species also owe them this much courtesy; killing/sacrificing animals for eating is natural and in line with the divine order of things, however, torturing a life for sport is pure Satanism.
