Elmer Gantry (Review) – What Everybody Ought to Know About Carnies

American Krogan joined me to discuss the 1960 classic, Elmer Gantry. Recorded September 7th, 2022.

We discussed the “vaudevilification” of Western culture. We talked about Homo Americanus, rubes & carnies, nihilism, grifters, high-trust society, the loss of the SACRED, and much more…

Although we didn’t plan to, we ended up talking for almost THREE HOURS again!

But I’m sure that wasn’t a problem, because the audience seemed to enjoy every minute of it.

“Three more hours” — said Simmons in the chat

“I could listen for another couple hours for sure!” — said NorseNature

“Guys, this is a brilliant chat, i’ll need to listen again” — said Battle_Cat

“3 hours went by like some friends sitting around a table having a discussion. Enjoyed every second. Thanks Frodi and American Krogan” — said Don’t Break the Oath
